Hiking in the Parnassos National Park Claimed

Parnassus National Park is implemented within the National Park.

The Park, with a total area of 36,000 acres, was established in 1938 and, together with that of Mount Olympus, is the oldest National Park in the country. This area presents truly impressive landscapes with fir forests, sinkholes, caves, rocky peaks and great biodiversity! Starting from Livadi we follow a gentle route through the fir forest of Parnassos.

Near Kalania at an altitude of 1,300m we have the opportunity to see from above the entrance of the underground barrel “Eptastomo”, which hosts the southernmost glacier in Europe! Inside it maintains an average temperature of no more than 0 degrees Celsius all year round!

This cave basalt was not accidentally considered by the ancient Greeks as one of the entrances to Hades. Come and discover the unknown treasures of the beloved Parnassus!

The total distance covered is 7 kilometers, with an altitude difference of 250 meters. The experienced team of Trekking Hellas designs and implements exciting programs in Parnassus for everyone!
