Hiking to the Fairy Spilia in Parnassos Claimed

north side of the mountain near the village of Variani. Our Fairy Spilia – Hiking tour starts at Livadi Arachova, where we meet our vehicles.

We follow our experienced guide for about 45 minutes on a dirt road until we reach the forest path leading to the cave.

Our route takes us through the lush green fir forest, which is adorned with hundreds of wildflowers! After leaving our vehicles, we hike for about 1 hour enjoying the stunning views of the valley.

The entrance to the cave is located on steep cliffs of moderate difficulty. To get through the difficult passages, our guide secures you with the necessary equipment.

In spring when the cave still holds enough water, the brave ones can walk in the icy water and visit 2 chambers! The stalagmites, stalactites and natural water basins make up a fairy-tale setting, in which one can easily envision the fairies enjoying their bath while singing.
