The recreational part

There is nothing quite like the unprecedented experience of underwater breathing. It takes a few minutes to get used to it, which is normal for a person not built for it, but after that most participants find out how simple it is. The biggest challenge for instructors when conducting the Getting to Know You Dive is not to get participants to enter the water, but to get them to get out when the end comes. The recreational part? From start to finish!

In addition, you get credit! If you choose to do the Open Water Getting to Know Dive, your experience will count towards the Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver training programs and you will be one step closer to certification when you decide to attend the training.

 

Program Contents

• You will learn everything required to dive under the supervision of a PADI professional. What you will definitely learn is that you can breathe underwater. Also:
• You will get to know the feel of using diving equipment and how easily you move through the water while wearing it.
• You will discover the feeling of underwater breathing and how comfortable you are with it.
• You will learn some basic skills and safety rules that you will encounter again when you decide to attend the training.

 

 

The equipment you will use

The full equipment of a scuba diver is the equipment you will use during the Getting to Know You Dive. This consists of the mask, snorkel, fins, buoyancy regulator, diving cylinder, breathing regulator and the necessary instruments for depth and cylinder pressure control. Finally you will wear a diving suit and a weight belt
