Kayaking in Monemvasia Claimed

The meeting point with your guide is at the small port of Monemvasia located opposite the fortress. After a short introduction to paddling techniques, safety measures and equipment we start the kayak trip. It is well known that the best view of the town and the fortress is from the sea and that is exactly what we will do. We paddle under the impressive city walls and the cliffs on which the city is built and enjoy the stunning view from a different angle with plenty of breaks for narration. This is undoubtedly the most beautiful part of our sea adventure. The area is mostly wild and rocky, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a dip in the sea. Our next stop is Portello, a small hidden chasm on the south side of the walls that offers the unique experience of diving in the shadow of the castle. After completing the circumnavigation around the rock, we will disembark our kayaks on a beach to enjoy a homemade picnic, relaxation and sunbathing and for the more active swim with mask and snorkel to discover the richness of the underwater world. We end the day paddling back to the starting point with a view of the rock from a different angle.
