What you learn
All the basics of diving through knowledge development, a set of pool diving skills that you will use again during open water dives and an appreciation for the underwater world that will have you returning for more time at the bottom every chance you get !
During the course you will cover material and practice skills related to topics such as
You will use all basic scuba equipment and some of this may be included in your course. You may want to invest in your own mask, snorkel and fins as these personal items are much more fun to use when they fit you properly. You will also use a buoyancy compensating vest that holds your bottle, a scuba regulator that provides air, a weight system and instruments to monitor depth and air supply. You are also provided with a 5mm wetsuit

The fun part
The fun part of this course is. . . well, almost all because it’s fantastic to learn to dive. You breathe underwater for the first time (something you’ll never forget) and learn everything you need to know to become a certified diver. During the course, you’ll do a minimum of five pool dives and four dives at local dive sites under the supervision of your PADI instructor.
The Scuba equipment we use
In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba equipment, such as a dive computer and standard accessories. The equipment you wear varies somewhat, depending on whether you are diving in tropical, temperate or cold water. Check with your local dive shop for the equipment you will use during this course.
