Arachthos we follow a relatively easy route of about 10 km, which is suitable even for beginners. We encounter flow with continuous ripples, sharp turns and 2nd – 3rd degree passages. We cross the most beautiful part of the river that starts from the Politsa Bridge in Ampelochori and ends at the famous Plaka Bridge. About the middle of our route we do not miss the opportunity to visit and take a dip in the natural lake formed by the twenty-centimeter waterfall of Klifki.
The entrance to the narrow gorge of Arachthos is imposing with vertical slopes of 700 meters. Along the way we meet dozens of springs gushing from the rocks with crystal clear and drinking water. At the exit of the Gorge, at the end of the route we pass through the largest single-arched bridge in the Balkans, the Plaka Bridge.
