Rafting on the Moglenitsa River
We’ll meet in Edessa to put on our wetsuits and be transported to the starting site at Aloro village, where we’ll board the boats and arrive at the Kali village dam, where the route ends, after a 1,5-2 hour journey. We’ll have a food and a drink there while we relax and take in the magnificent scenery. Then we’ll get back in our cars and return to the meeting location…
The Moglenitsas river runs from the Kaimaktsalan, Jena, Pinovo, and Paiko mountains to the Aliakmonas river’s estuary. We notice the “pink stones,” many bird species, large bird nests, and many islands produced by the river as we walk through the canyon and the iron gates (Demir Kapo).This natural beauty trail is completely risk-free and highly recommended for people who wish to have a taste of the activity.
