We start at 8:00 am from Thessaloniki and after 1 hour and 40 minutes we have reached our destination, waterfalls and lake of Skra! From here we start our tour through the dense vegetation and within 2 hours we will have the opportunity to see this hidden pearl of nature and dive into the deep blue waters of the lake. After our excursion we will visit the nearby village of Skra where we will have 1 hour free for lunch or coffee at a local tavern (optional). From Skra we head to the Almoia Baths in Aridaia and it will take us about 1.5 hours to get to a beautiful, authentic place with lush vegetation and warm thermal waters! Our stay will be in the village of Orma and you will choose your program, with options for hot baths, relaxing, enjoying coffee or food in the amazing nature and of course a walk in the local market with local products

The next day we will wake up and enjoy our coffee and breakfast in the beautiful grounds and after packing our things and start the drive to the Vergina museum and the King’s tombs. The museum inside encloses the royal tombs and this in itself is very solemn. The unique all-gold grave goods on display declare the greatness of ancient Macedonia. After 1.5 hours in the museum we have the choice to either sit in a local tavern or start our return to Thessaloniki. A visit to the park of Agios Nikolaos in Naoussa or the waterfalls of Edessa can be added to the program, depending on the time we have available.

 

Programme

Day 1

Emerald Lake – Loutra Aridaia

On the first day we will enjoy the emerald lake and relax in the thermal baths. The evening may find us relaxing at a local tavern with a glass of wine

Day 2

Vergina – Edessa Waterfalls

The next day we will wake up and enjoy our coffee and breakfast in the beautiful grounds and after packing our things and start the drive to the Vergina museum and the King’s tombs. The museum inside encloses the royal tombs and this in itself is very solemn. The unique all-gold grave goods on display declare the greatness of ancient Macedonia. After 1.5 hours in the museum we have the choice to either sit in a local tavern or start our return to Thessaloniki.
