Sightseeing in Zagori Claimed

We stop at the Voidomatis River, one of the cleanest rivers in Europe, where you can plunge into its icy cold waters if you wish and then climb up to the villages of Papigo. We visit Ovires Rogovo, the natural pools in a narrow gorge and then the village of Little Papigo.

Then we return to 1,090 m. pass to reach the central Zagori to have a wonderful view of the Vikos Gorge at its deepest (almost a kilometer). There we have a small snack of traditional pies (such as spinach pies enhanced with goat cheese and local herbs for better taste) and seasonal fruits and continue with a visit to Dilofo, a village in the center of Zagori.

After that, we admire some of the more than a hundred stone bridges that survive. The itinerary is open to suggestions, as we can also visit Monodendri, including another view of the Vikus Gorge, the villages of Kapesovo and Vradeto, or we can admire the Vikus Gorge from Beloi, skipping part of the original itinerary.
