Sea Kayak ride in the Medieval castles of Nafplio Claimed

All are rich in history and folklore stories from antiquity to medieval and modern times. This is probably a world first, and we are proud to offer this tour, in a fascinating, dominant setting.

The first site we visit is the famous fortress of Bourtzi, built in 1473, at a small entrance just in front of the port. The importance of this castle over the years and the battles it has seen make it an ideal location for early historical tales and folklore.

After enjoying the magnificent location, we paddle towards the old town of Nafplion, under the cannons of the 1st line of fortification of the Old Town, while the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Palamidi Fortress dominates the view directly above it. Once out of the harbour, we paddle along the ancient Nafplio road, under the fortress of Akronafplia, and are rewarded with a magnificent view of the dominant cliffs covered in lush vegetation with the fortress as a crown at the top.

We continue along the coastline until we reach a small secluded beach to enjoy our treats and refreshments. Once refreshed, depending on the weather conditions, we start paddling back to the starting port or arrive at our base at Karathonas beach where you can enjoy other water sports such as SUP and water cycle before we transfer you back to Nafplio, which transfer is included in the price. There will be plenty of time for group and family kayak photos around the cliffs and forts before we arrive at our finish point at our beach.
