Guided tour in the bay of Navarinos
The route starts from the bottom of the hill. On our way to the top, we will meet the southernmost migratory bird station between Europe and Africa, the Yalova Lagoon. It is home to many mammals, reptiles, amphibians and fish such as herons, hummingbirds, gulls of...
Aegean, flamingos, ospreys, royal eagles and other migratory and endemic birds. Prominent among them is the endangered African chameleon. Leaving behind the lagoon of Yalova we will have the opportunity to swim at the most photographed and famous beach in Greece, Voidokilia beach.
After a few dives, we will continue climbing up the hill and at the top, after about an hour, we will have the opportunity to admire the excellent view of the entire bay area, including the beach of Voidokilia, the lagoon of Gialova, the city of Pylos and the Ionian Sea, learning about the local history from 425 BC to the present day.
