Cycling trip in the history of Alexander the Great
The history of Macedonia has its roots in very old times. It starts from antiquity and reaches, through the centuries, full of brilliantly interesting pages of struggle, heroism, culture, action, destruction, victory and glory.
Philip IV organized Macedonia as a modern state of the time and...
laid the foundations of Greater Greece. Philip IV prepared the situation and gave a strong Macedonia to his son Alexander. Alexander the Great was born in Pella, Macedonia in July 356 BC. His parents were King Philip II of Macedonia and Princess Olympias of Epirus. He was one of the most important generals in history and during the 13 years of his reign (336 - 323 BC) he conquered most of the then known world to the east (Asia Minor, Persia, Egypt, etc.), reaching the outskirts of India, and without losing a single battle he fought himself.
