Passing the city of Rethymno and Heraklion and continuing a little inland to the mainland of Crete until we reach the Palace of Knossos to meet our certified guides. Join your certified guide (optional at an additional cost) on a 2-hour tour of the fascinating history of the Minoan period and learn about the Minotaur and Ariadne. After this inspiring tour you will head to the Archaeological Museum, one of Europe's most important museums that brings together archaeological finds from all over Crete, covering over 5500 years of the island's history. Your professional guide will tell you about the most important collection of Minoan antiquities. After visiting the museum, our escort will take you to the city of Heraklion as we head towards the Rethymnon highway.

Following the highway to Rethymno we will visit a traditional Greek tavern where we will have our lunch break. After lunch and driving through the town of Rethymno, we follow the highway by the sea to Chania where our day ends leaving you at your hotel.
