Rafting on the Secret River Claimed

Meeting usually at 12:00 in the morning at the village of Stournareika Trikala (square) leave your cars and continue by jeep to the dam of Messochora. After we load our personal belongings and camp equipment into the jeeps, we start the first day's descent down a river with continuous 2-3 grade crossings. The scenery is magnificent!!!

We meet aerial bridges forgotten in time, hidden passages and crystal clear waters in a beautiful environment with forests that reach the banks of the river. After about 3 hours of descent with short stops for swimming and diving we arrive in the afternoon at the campsite where jeeps with our stuff are waiting for us , we set up tents for the night and have a barbecue.

The next day after breakfast we start again with the boats and we enter the big gorge of Acheloos (here are the boundaries of the prefectures of Arta and Karditsa) the descent is easier today but in a section with steep vertical mountains on both sides of the river, waterfalls running everywhere!!!

We will pass the famous gorge of Fagos (where Aris Velouchiotis was killed), the Neraidovrisses and we will stop to walk in the gorge of Kostianos!!
